So what now? What do we do?  / Janelle Jackman (youngest sister )

It has been approximately one year since Sean's passing. One year, one month and four days to be exact and still the pain of his passing wells up even today.
So the question is what now?
What do we do to ease the pain?
What do we do to stop the painful memories of his death from haunting us each and every day?
What do we do to stop the incessant tears from flooding our eyes?
What do we do to keep his memmories alive?
What do we do to ensure that he lives forever in our hearts?

The question is simply "What do we do?

For a sweet sweet spirit who is loved and missed...  / Kim Morrison (friend)
I just resurfaced into the real world this weekend, only to be greeted by the news that a bright and beautiful light had rejoined the heavens.
My heart is heavy for his family and friends.  Sean blessed us all continuously with his presence and caring.  His gift of turning frowns into smiles was remarkable.  His humble and giving spirit touched not only those he knew, but those he didn't as well.
I was looking through old photos last night and realized I'd lost contact with quite a few remarkable people.  They all had one person in common, one person who seemed to tie them all together.  Sean may have left us for now, but he has left us with an amazing gift, each other...to hold on to, to share memories and stories with, and to continue to pay forward to others the blessing he has been in all of our lives.
I give credit and honor to his parents and family for sharing such an amazing and inspiring light with us all.
All of my thoughts, love, and continued prayers to you all, family and friends.

A Poem for Sean.  / Rae-Anne Lloyd (friend)
"Though pain touches our hearts now,
To think of our loved forever gone.
We won't stray or stumble, our sorrowful vow,
Because we know that our meeting won't be long.

We always pray for you when we may,
And light a candle to guide your way.
Our tears refresh you like the morning dew ,
As you travel the narrow path to other angels we knew.

So wait for us, we're coming, we miss you..."

-A small poem for the friends and family of Sean and the offering of my condolences for your tragic loss. Close

Sean was always the peaceful, joyful friend you wanted next to you. Being himself he would bring us a smile, his smile, to all of us who had the privilege to be next to him. As every day passes we keep him in our hearts, trying to live with happyness in all this hard time, just as he would have done. Playing soccer is also different, he was always there for the team, putting the extra effort.
To his family we send condolences and our prayers as he will always be remembered.
Joel. Close

A LIFE NOT FORGOTTEN  / Siobhan Rogers (friend of janelle )

Dear to many Sean was and still shall be for he will always be in our memories. Though his physical body isn't here with us, we thank the Heavenly Father for the short time we had him in our midst. I am not an aquaintance, family member or even a close friend of Sean but as his friends and family speak of him seems like i have know him his whole life. A Star that has shone bright and one that would never fade is he. though he is gone we say he IS, WAS and FOREVER WILL BE a star in our eyes ever burning brightly in our lives. To his family we say thank you for giving us a life so precious that no one can compare to. We are forever with you in your present time of grief and the future happiness where we know we will one day see him again at the right hand of god the father. As Mr. Jackman said in remembering Sean remember the numbers 25, 4 and 2. 25 for the number of years we had with him, and 4 what he has done 2 you. MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE AND MAY HE BE NEVER FORGOTTEN.

Sean was a person who siezed the time in which he lived

He had a full life with many accomplishments and was a role model to the people who knew him at Howard. I believe the message of hope he's left us as he fled mere mortality (but has not escaped eternity) is Carpe Diem - sieze the day! Close

What I remember  / Sharad Maharaj (Classmate (Naparima College) )
I met Sean the day we were all  "drafted" into the College Choir and made to sing for the 'Music Festival'. I still have the photo with all of us standing at the front of the school. I will always remember him sitting next to Naaiel, laughing hysterically over some shared joke. I never saw him get angry or lose composure. He never flaunted his intelligence, but was always generous with his smile. Memories that I have of him are always in very bright ,sun-drenched classrooms (we always seemed to get those) surrounded by equally warm friends.
I prefer to keep him there. It was a safe and happy place. Close

Plese accept my sincerest sympathy.  May the happy memories left behind always be with you to make you smile.  Being acquainted with such a loss my heart goes out to you.  I'm moved to share with you encouraging and comforting words that were shared with us.  As God's prophet said it is "good news of something better"..Isaiah 52:7.  Please at your leisure read John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21:3-5.  Also Psalm 37:11.  These verses gives one an assured hope that we will be with our loved ones on a peaceful, paradised earth forever, never being ill, growing old nor dying.  Our Almighty God and Father has promised.  In face verse 5 of Revelaton (above) reads, "these words are faithful and true."  May he give you and yours peace with his words of comfort and the sure hope.  Please, request furthr information about when this will occur from any one of Jehovah's Witnesses that visit at your door.  Close

Sean Jackman  / Kunmi Otitoju (friend)
Sean was awesome. He was a year ahead of me at howard university. As an International Pal, he was there to welcome me during my first days in the USA. As members of the Newman Club, we got to take part in many events together. He was always happy, always helping. Whether it was with a programming assignment or with how to join Tau Beta Pi.

Many of us can attest to this: Sean was a genius.

I know because I have asked him for help on programs several times. He not only had a deep understanding of things, he also knew how to explain the complexities of things such that even a child would understand.

I would miss him. I am sad because he was a genius, and he had only just begun. But I would continue to write about him, and to talk about him, and to pray for his family.

We don't know. We never know. Close

Sean is smiling for God now  / Keisha McLean (Fellow Howardite )
Sean was one of those people you just couldn't see without smiling. He always had something funny to say and in all the times I saw him around campus he never lacked that heartwarming smile. All my conversations with Sean were positive, he never seemed tainted by the world around him. Sean accomplised so much in this short life that many of us (myself included) could only dream of. He was truly blessed. Just continue to pray for us Sean from your seat up high next to God. We will miss you, but you are surely in a better place. Close

Sean was by far one of the brightest fellows I have ever met and he was so humble about it too. His smile really was one if a kind. When I heard that he had died it meade me realize that we should make the lost of our time on this earth beause it is 'only for a while'. My heart goes out to his family at this time. God bless you Sean. Close
